The Brass Era was an American term for that period in car manufacturing, when cars had brass fittings to hold the lights and radiators. It started from 1896 through 1915, a time when these vehicles were often called the horseless carriages. Non US countries, will call this period, the era of antique cars of the veteran pre-1904 cars.
